Lightning Learning: Filters for Bag Valve Masks

Manual ventilation using a bag valve mask (BVM) device is an aerosol-generating procedure and requires full AGP PPE.
To reduce the risk of spreading COVID-19 virus through exhaled air, a viral filter must be added in between mask and bag.
LOOK
Correctly-sized viral filters must be added to the bags containing the BVMs when stocking up.
These need to be attached manually before use (see above diagram).
