Introducing: mEDistation
What is mEDistation?
mEDistation is an online and in situ educational tool that also aims to promote well-being amongst Emergency Department (ED) staff.
At work, we often have moments like:
“Hmm, I didn’t know that!” … “Ahh, that’s interesting!” … “Oh, that’s new!”
In such highly stressful and pressured working environments, it is essential to celebrate self-improvement. mEDistation aims to capture such learning moments when they happen and to avoid them getting buried under the stress of work.
How does it work?
Using a wall-mounted iPad located on the shop floor, ED staff can enter in any learning points they encounter during their shift.
Our online form asks one simple question… “What have you learnt today?”
Staff should aim to enter in at least one learning point per shift.
You will receive a copy of your own learning point entered on mEDistation in your inbox immediately.
Every month, some of the learning points will be converted into mEDistation flash cards that will be used at an 8:00am daily handover for education.
