Edith is a 90 year old lady with a background of hypertension, previous breast cancer and previous TIAs. She is taking Bendroflumethazide 2.5mg od, Ramipril 10mg od and Tamoxifen; she does not take any other medication, prescribed or otherwise. She lives alone, having been widowed some 15 years earlier, but manages all activities of daily living independently and manages to get to the local shops using a stroller.

She fell in her own home, shortly after breakfast, whilst preparing to get into the shower. She thinks she must have tripped on the shower ledge.
