Thank you, Manchester! (thoughts on #RCEM15)

Thank you, Manchester! (thoughts on #RCEM15)

Three days of learning, shared minds, shared feelings and a psychological boost before winter. Most of all though: Pride in Emergency Medicine.

Well what can I say, those were three packed days in Manchester with some great speakers and presentations. It was great to be there and to share experiences with so many similar minded people.

If you weren't there or are looking to relive some key moments the RCEM FOAMed Network have some great summaries for each Day:

  1. Day One

  2. Day Two

  3. Day Three

The East Midlands were certainly well represented, with a range of posters, presentations and speakers at the conference.

We were also there at the Health Education East Midlands stand and had the opportunity to meet the great Scott Weingart (@emcrit). Who along with giving several excellent talks including how not to be a #ResusW*nker and Cut to Cure even gave us a shoutout on twitter.

Of course one of the standout sessions was the SIMStars competition. A series of competitive simulations open to entry of all grades nationally. One of the East Midlands Teams went on to beat the competition and come first overall. Congratulations to Nick Scott, Scott Knapp, Steve Corry-Bass and Adeel Chaudhary.

Finally the excellent 3 Words for EM Video (Keep and eye out for Leicester ED's Norman the Dinosaur).
